Plastic bans in 15 countries

China from Jan 2020

In January 2020, the regulations issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment stipulate that by the end of 2020, non-degradable disposable plastic straws are prohibited in the catering industry nationwide. By the end of 2022, star-rated hotels, hotels and other places nationwide will no longer actively provide disposable plastic products.

Merchants can choose to supply recycled paper straws, edible straws or biodegradable straws. All straws need to be individually packaged and used in bags of the same material.
