Driven by the trend of eco-friendly consumption, PP coffee ground cups have become popular sustainable supplies for catering and household use, featuring green materials, lightweight texture and excellent durability. Behind every simple-looking cup lies a standardized and refined injection molding production system. This article fully introduces the complete production process of PP coffee ground cups from raw material treatment and injection molding to finished product shipment, revealing the key quality control points of each step.

PP coffee ground cups are made of composite materials of food-grade PP particles and refined coffee ground powder. The raw material ratio directly determines the toughness, texture and environmental performance of finished products. Before formal production, complete preprocessing is required: inferior materials and impurities are screened out first, and raw materials are proportioned accurately according to standards. Then the mixture is fully stirred by a high-speed mixer to realize uniform integration.   Mold accuracy determines the forming effect of finished products. Mold installation, calibration and parameter debugging are mandatory before mass production. Production personnel fix the customized cup mold on the injection molding machine and calibrate the opening-closing accuracy, gate position and cooling system stability. Core parameters including barrel temperature, injection pressure, holding time and cooling cycle are adjusted according to the melting characteristics of PP and coffee ground composite materials. After sample production, the size, shape and surface texture of the first piece are strictly inspected. Parameters are locked and mass production starts only when no deformation, material shortage, color difference and other defects are found.

  Injection molding is the core process of cup forming. The preprocessed composite raw materials are sent to the injection molding barrel and melted into uniform fluid at high temperature, then accurately injected into the mold cavity under high pressure and high speed. The materials are shaped by pressure holding and cooled at constant temperature for rapid solidification, ensuring uniform wall thickness and regular cup shape. After cooling, the mold opens and closes automatically, and the ejection system stably pushes out the finished cup to complete a production cycle. The whole automatic process with stable and controllable parameters greatly reduces manual errors and ensures consistent specifications and quality of batch products.

  Newly demolded semi-finished products usually have slight flashes and burrs, which are normal process residues and require fine post-trimming. Professional tools or automatic trimming equipment are used to remove excess leftover materials at the cup mouth, bottom and joints gently, preventing surface scratches and extrusion damage. After trimming, comprehensive cleaning is carried out to remove dust and impurities, ensuring smooth cup surface and burr-free round mouth for comfortable use. For customized orders, secondary processing such as LOGO silk-screen printing, embossing and color matching can be completed in this stage to meet personalized requirements.

  Quality inspection is the core checkpoint before shipment, adopting a dual inspection mode of sampling inspection + key full inspection with strict checks on appearance, size and performance. Appearance check: ensure no bubbles, scratches, color difference or deformation, with even coffee ground distribution and uniform color; size check: test cup height, caliber and wall thickness with precision tools to control dimensional tolerance; performance test: conduct random high temperature resistance, drop resistance and tightness tests to verify product safety and structural stability. All defective products are sorted, registered, reworked or scrapped to prevent defective goods from being delivered

  Qualified finished products enter the final shipment process. First, secondary deep cleaning is performed to ensure dust-free and clean cups. Products are then classified and counted in accordance with order requirements, and individually packed with food-grade eco-friendly materials to avoid scratches and extrusion damage during transportation. Well-packed products are boxed standardly with traceable labels of batch, specification and quality certification, and then registered and stored in the warehouse. Finally, goods are delivered by logistics according to the order schedule. The whole process is traceable, forming a complete quality closed loop from production to delivery.
