PHA (Polyhydroxyalkanoates), including PHB, PHBV and P3HB4HB, is a pure biobased biodegradable material. It can be fully mineralized by microorganisms without microplastics under household compost, soil, fresh water and seawater, requiring no 58℃ industrial composting. Compared with PLA, PHA features better oil resistance, barrier performance and heat resistance, complying with European and American environmental standards. It is commonly blended with PBAT to improve processability and reduce brittleness, widely used in food containers, coffee cups, marine fishing gear and disposable packaging for EU export.
