The reporter learned from the Provincial Market Supervision Bureau on 2^nd August that as of late July, Hainan Province had investigated and handled 2,402 plastic ban cases and seized more than 10 million banned plastic products.

At present, there are few plastic banning slogans in the ban on plastics in the farmer’s market, and a strong ban on plastics has not been formed.It has been found that the stalls are hung with biodegradable plastic bags, but they are still using the plastic bag in secret and the use of illegal plastic products in fruit stalls and pavements around the farmer’s market is serious.

The Provincial Market Supervision Bureau requires that all units must attach great importance to the ban on plastics and adjust the focus of law enforcement to the ban on plastics in the farmer’s market. It is necessary to implement the main responsibility of farmers’ market operators, the main responsibilities of farmers’ market stall operators, and the main responsibilities of territorial supervision, clarify the specific responsible persons, responsible directors, and responsible directors of each farmer’s market, and implement a comprehensive ban on plastics in the farmer’s market in strict accordance with the timeline.  And ensure that the task of banning plastics in the farmer’s market is completed by the end of August.
